Low pressure can arise from several causes, including local supply issues, valves, appliances or a leaking private pipe. Check whether neighbours are affected and whether your supplier reports a problem. Persistent unexplained pressure loss can then be investigated.
Signs worth noting
- Pressure reduced at several outlets
- A change in pressure alongside a higher water bill
- Low flow with suspected underground water loss
What happens next
We review whether hot, cold or both supplies are affected, and whether the symptom is constant. Meter behaviour and the actual supply layout help decide if leak tracing is appropriate.
Before you contact us
Note which taps are affected, when the change began and any work carried out recently. Record anything your water supplier has already checked.
From the findings to the fix
A pressure symptom alone is not proof of a leak. Where testing supports a private pipe loss, we investigate the source and explain the repair. If evidence points elsewhere, we explain the findings.
For residential work, the £1,195 total includes investigation, access, the plumbing repair, parts and materials, testing and a report. The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total. Commercial instructions are quoted separately.
Decorative and remedial reinstatement after access is excluded. The repair workmanship comes with a 12-month warranty. We explain the job before the appointment is confirmed.

Your questions, answered.
Should I contact the water company first?
If several nearby properties are affected or there is a reported supply interruption, checking with the supplier is a sensible first step.
How does the £100 deposit work?
First, contact us about the leak. Once the job and appointment are confirmed, we send you a payment link for a £100 booking deposit. This is deducted from £1,195, leaving £1,095. Sending an enquiry does not take a payment or confirm an appointment.
Will you need to lift floors or open walls?
Detection helps narrow down the source before access is made. Some leaks require floors, walls, ceilings or external surfaces to be opened so the pipe can be repaired. We explain what is needed and aim to avoid unnecessary disruption.
Can I claim through my insurance?
We provide a detailed Trace & Access report for you to submit to your insurer. Acceptance and reimbursement depend on your policy, excess, limits and insurer’s decision. Check any approval requirements with your insurer before work begins.
