Pressure testing can help identify which part of a water or heating system needs further investigation. It is especially useful when a property has several circuits and the source of the loss is unclear.
When this service can help
- A system losing pressure without a visible leak
- Several possible pipe circuits
- Unexplained loss after plumbing work
- A repair needing a follow-up check
How we investigate
An appropriate part of the system is isolated and assessed under suitable conditions. Results are interpreted with the pipework layout, valves, temperature and other observations in mind. Pressure testing identifies behaviour; it does not by itself identify an exact opening point.
Before the appointment
Have access to stop valves, manifolds and plant areas ready. Tell us if shutting off the system affects other occupants, business equipment or shared services.
From the findings to the fix
Testing supports decisions about where to focus specialist tracing. After repair, appropriate checks help establish that the affected pipework is operating as intended. Findings can be included in the job report.
For residential work, the £1,195 total includes investigation, access, the plumbing repair, parts and materials, testing and a report. The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total. Commercial instructions are quoted separately.
Decorative and remedial reinstatement after access is excluded. The repair workmanship comes with a 12-month warranty. We explain the job before the appointment is confirmed.

Equipment we may use
The symptoms, pipe material and access determine which checks are useful. Read how these methods work and what their findings mean.
GOOD TO KNOW
Your questions, answered.
Will my water need to be turned off?
Some tests need the relevant circuit to be isolated temporarily. We explain the arrangement before proceeding.
How does the £100 deposit work?
First, contact us about the leak. Once the job and appointment are confirmed, we send you a payment link for a £100 booking deposit. This is deducted from £1,195, leaving £1,095. Sending an enquiry does not take a payment or confirm an appointment.
Will you need to lift floors or open walls?
Detection helps narrow down the source before access is made. Some leaks require floors, walls, ceilings or external surfaces to be opened so the pipe can be repaired. We explain what is needed and aim to avoid unnecessary disruption.
Can I claim through my insurance?
We provide a detailed Trace & Access report for you to submit to your insurer. Acceptance and reimbursement depend on your policy, excess, limits and insurer’s decision. Check any approval requirements with your insurer before work begins.
